Inspired by the time she spends in Paris tasting and researching, Jackie Kai Ellis decided to share her passion for the city and its culinary artistry with a tour of the best pâtisseries and chocolate shops she could find.
The intimate three hour walking experience is limited to 6 participants, visiting up to 10 shops and ending with a grand tasting of all the best items chosen from each shop.
Tours are offered when Jackie is in Paris. For upcoming dates, please scroll down.
After running a thriving design firm for several years, Jackie Kai Ellis closed her company and set off to Paris to pursue her life-long love of baking. After studying at Paris’ École Gastronomique Bellouet Conseil, she opened Vancouver’s Beaucoup Bakery & Café, combining the comforting North American baking she grew up with, her Asian heritage and the delicate art of French pastry making. The Paris Tours was born out of Jackie’s desire to share her Parisian inspiration with her regular customers.
As a successful entrepreneur, writer and designer, Jackie seeks out projects that contain an invisible thread connecting passion, discovery and beauty. She immerses herself in a world of design, food, fashion and travel, and regularly contributes to The Vancouver Sun, Vitamin daily, Hayo Magazine, and FoodNetwork.ca, as well as writing for Montecristo Magazine and Anthology Magazine.
She has been named one of Western Living magazine’s Top Foodies Under 40, the Emerging Culinary Artist of the Year at the Mayor's Arts Awards, a culinary council member for Whole Foods Market, and her pastries have been cited as amongst Canada's best in publications.
